Terms and Conditions

Last updated: March 2026

Overview

These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the Fractir software and related services provided through this website.

By purchasing, downloading, or using Fractir, you agree to be bound by these terms.

Licence

Fractir is licensed, not sold. Purchasing a licence grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the software in accordance with the licence tier purchased.

Licence tiers may include:

Available functionality may vary depending on the licence type.

Permitted Use

You may use Fractir for personal or professional purposes in accordance with the licence purchased.

You may not:

Payments

Payments for licences are processed through Stripe. Fractir does not store payment card information.

Prices may change in the future but will not affect licences that have already been purchased.

Refunds

Fractir is a downloadable software product and its licence is delivered immediately after purchase.

Because Fractir operates entirely offline, licences cannot always be technically revoked once issued.

For this reason, refunds are provided at our discretion. If you experience a technical issue or accidental purchase, please contact support and we will review the request.

Refund requests should be made within a reasonable period after purchase.

No Warranty

Fractir is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

While reasonable efforts are made to ensure reliability and security, the software is provided without guarantee of uninterrupted operation or error-free performance.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer of Fractir shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the software.

This includes, but is not limited to:

Data Loss Disclaimer

Fractir uses encryption and threshold cryptography to protect vault data. However, vault recovery requires the required threshold of recovery shares.

Users are responsible for securely storing recovery shares and maintaining appropriate backups.

If sufficient recovery shares are lost, vault recovery may not be possible. Fractir cannot recover vaults without the required number of shares.

User Responsibilties

Fractir relies on threshold cryptography and secure storage of recovery shares.

Users are responsible for:

Loss of sufficient recovery shares may prevent vault recovery.

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes relating to these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Changes

These Terms and Conditions may be updated periodically. Updated versions will be posted on this page.
